Which EV Charger Is Right for You?

Level 1 charging – This is the slowest level of EV charging, often taking several days to go from near empty to full range, but it’s also very gentle on the battery and likely won’t have a noticeable effect on your monthly power bills. Many manufacturers and dealerships provide Level 1 chargers that can plug into any 120V outlet, but you may not have an outlet near where you park your car (which is where ASE comes in).
Level 2 charging – Many homeowners who choose us for EV charger installation buy Level 2 chargers due to faster speeds and greater efficiency. This charger will get you to full range in a matter of hours rather than days, but it requires a 240V circuit. While it does put more strain on the battery than the Level 1 charger, it’s still minimal compared to the effects of a Level 3 or greater fast charger—which are only used in public charging stations and other commercial applications.
